Forum Meeting: Zoonotic Diseases, Food Systems and the Environment

The online meeting was held on June 9 via Zoom. A recording of the event is available on our YouTube page, as well as down below. We had the pleasure of welcoming Prof. Wayne M. Getz, Department Environmental Science Policy & Management, Rausser College of Natural Resources, University of California at Berkeley, to present a disease ecologist’s point of view of the COVID-19 pandemic. Afterwards, Dr. Alon Shepon from the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health and the IFSN, explained the two-way interactions between the food systems and zoonotic diseases. Gal Zargon, Head of Pest Control Division at the Israeli Ministry of Environmental Protection, presented the idea of One Health: from farm to fork to pharmacy.
